Geannina Burgos
PartnerGeannina Burgos has worked hard for our clients since becoming a partner at Dabdoub Law Firm. She proudly helps defend individuals with long-term and short-term disability claims and has the necessary skills to guide her clients through every step of the legal process. From filing the original claims, handling appeals before the lawsuit, and litigating benefits that were wrongfully denied or terminated, Nina has the knowledge and experience to provide clients with the representation their case deserves.
Many of the cases that Nina handles fall under the federal law known as ERISA, which governs a majority of long-term disability benefits claims.
She is the proud recipient of numerous fellowships from organizations including the American Society of Public Administrators, the Ruden McClosky Foundation, the Florida Bar Young Lawyers’ Division, and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She was a judicial clerk in the Third District Court of Appeal while attending law school and gained valuable experience while serving under the Honorable Judge Barbara Lagoa. She was very involved in her school's Community Development Clinic and is a proud recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the field of Mediation.In addiotn, she holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship.
Outside of her practice, Nina is classically trained in ballet and modern dance. She has managed a nonprofit arts education organization. As an active member of the nonprofit arts education community, Nina sits on the board of many culture-driven organizations and has volunteered for numerous cultural institutions as a grant panelist.
Nina is fluent in English and Spanish.
